James Kilpatrick Always been my favorite by JCA. It’s such a great straight through listen. The honestly and understanding of human emotion on this album is brilliant. By being autobiographical he is able to tap into so many feelings people have in life. It’s so easy to relate to his songs and lyrics because he allows you to know it’s ok to feel those things. His hushed vocals add a layer of subtlety to this very well. Buy his albums see him live. Thank me later. Favorite track: South Yale Special.

Metal Marc I was away from home (Oklahoma, which I adopted in 2002) for about four years. When I returned in 2015, it was good to be back home. When I first heard “Cowboys and Canyon Queens” right around Christmas ‘18, it brought back memories of those years I was away from home, and I wept like a baby. Fantastic album. This is JCAIII hitting his stride...and the next one is even better! Favorite track: Cowboys and Canyon Queens.
